ELECTIONS 101

Former President Donald Trump, in his Harrisburg campaign rally on Wednesday, repeated well-worn and unsubstantiated claims that Democrats carried out massive fraud in the 2020 election.

Democrats, he warned in a pre-show recording, would try to cheat in the upcoming election, adding: "It’s the only thing they do well."

But experts tell Spotlight PA that theories about broad collusion to alter results just don’t square with the reality that election administration in the commonwealth is local and decentralized, making major fraud — the kind alleged by Trump — basically impossible here.
